This book is designed to help companies independently assess their compliance with key human resource management topics, including not only the functions and processes of audits in HR and labor but also essential areas such as hiring, employment contracts, work rules, wage systems, working hours, maternity protection systems, prevention of workplace harassment and sexual harassment, non-discrimination, legal subcontracting operations, disciplinary actions and dismissal, foreign worker management, labor-management councils, employment insurance and
industrial accident compensation insurance, industrial safety and compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, protection of personal data, and adherence to the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act.
Herein, the authors aim to assist companies in evaluating whether their HR and labor management systems align with labor laws and regulations. Furthermore, the book serves as a tool for assessing and improving the effectiveness of human resource management and organizational operations. Through this, companies can better prepare for regular and ad-hoc labor inspections conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
This book also aims to present the development direction of HR and labor audits as a certification system in the field of HR and labor. With the strengthening of labor laws, companies are increasingly required to ensure not only their own compliance with labor regulations but also the compliance of their business partners. As a result, the need for a system that objectively demonstrates a company's adherence to labor laws has emerged. In practice, the "HR and Labor Compliance Certification System" is now widely utilized. By conducting HR and labor audits, companies can obtain certification for compliance, which in turn enhances trust with business partners.
