Dismissal During the Probationary Period:

When hiring an employee, it is difficult to fully assess the employee’s job performance capabilities and suitability for the position based on a single interview. Therefore, companies generally establish a three-month probationary period to evaluate the employee’s job performance and suitability and then decide whether to continue the employment relationship. In this regard, this article examines cases involving dismissal during the probationary period in order to identify the standards used to determine whether such dismissals are justified.
